Each sea glass shadow box is individually handcrafted using decorative rice paper that is carefully decoupaged onto a canvas background, sealed with a glossy protective finish, and completed with authentic frosted sea glass pieces for a beautiful coastal-inspired look.
The artwork features the inspirational “I Want to Age Like Sea Glass” poem about life, resilience, peace, healing, and growing older with grace — like sea glass softened and shaped by the ocean over time.
Unlike flat printed artwork, this piece has natural texture and dimension throughout. The rice paper used for the poem is intentionally not bright white and naturally contains fibers, subtle blemishes, and texture variations that give the artwork an authentic handcrafted appearance.
After the decoupage process, the artwork is finished with a glossy spray coating before six pieces of genuine frosted sea glass are individually attached by hand.
